Who posted that (the one before Evan's Oscar discussion)?  It wasn't me!
We should all be sure to ask Allison about her experiences with the Parsons shows at Calumet, and see what she thinks about show locations etc...(she's exhibited quite a bit, and has a lot of good info/ideas about this subject).
I agree....we should nail this down soon, so that we can actually look at how much space we have for each body of work, and how to layout various projects.

So, anyone have ideas for the next Flickr project?

I say, either choose a color, a word or a passage of text to illustrate, or do the "sartorialist" project....what do you think?

By the way, what did we think of Jeff?

I think Jeff was really great. I think the fact that he wasn't lecturing and was talking more about his experiences made it far more valuable for us.

I thought Jeff was awesome! I'm sorry I didn't say anything and I fell asleep during some of it... it had nothing to do with him! I thought his work of drawing around photographs was really beautiful. I couldn't really say anything because I still felt I needed to digest the things he said and showed us. Even Brian said that he told us more stuff in that one session then when he taught his class!

I was a little confused at the end though... the stuff about pieces of art Turd in corporate spaces... how is that really bad? It seemed to contradict with his previous statement of "make stuff that make people think." As bad as corporate turd art is... at least it makes people think... so can't that make it a noble piece of work?

It's always great when we have guest speakers.

I particularly liked when he spoke about how he built and designed his shows. I really liked his ideas about the picture frame being thought of as the boundry of the art.

It was kinda hard to ask him questions because he answered most of mine during his presentation.

I don't know if I believe in his philosophy (specifically about photography) but I think what he had to say was valueable and helpful.

I wish I had been there for the guest speaker, sounds like he was great! But I had a great experience at my internship, I got to really be on set for a photoshoot editorial for a German publication: Tush Magazine. I worked 12 hours which is not unusual for a shoot but I'm so tired (sleep deprivation)!

Anyhow I wasn't there for the lecture but I think having the next Flickr project be based on a word, color, or phrase (as opposed to just one) is a great idea. We should put examples of all of those in a hat and choose on Thursday.
